BRITISH ARMED FORCES MONEY of 1956 (3rd Series) – Thomas De a Rue of London printed these special voucher notes for the Army Council, for use in the Suez Crisis. Although Israel won the war thus opening the Suez to World trade, The US, Russia, the UN etc got the Brits to stand down quickly, giving these notes an extremely short lifespan.
1 Shilling – Holes Drilled to prevent use. Measures approximately 41/2 x 2 1/4 inches – $6.95
