VERY UNUSUAL WORLD WAR I PASS IN JEWISH CREATED by GERMANY for the OCCUPATION of the BALTICS

Here is a passport written in German and transliterated into Jewish ( Yiddish ) all dated from the First World War ( 1917 ) used and stamped in Lithuania.

After a century of Russian rule, Lithuania in 1915, was conquered by the Germans, who unlike the Russians, were relatively good to the native Jewish population.

These blue colored passes are in a booklet format ( showing 8 sides ) with a cover showing the word PASS in German and Jewish, along with eagle coat of arms. The inside front cover gives instructions & use information. Followed by personal information, including photograph & fingerprints.
