Despite Belgium’s surrender to the Germans in 1940, England and the Belgian Colony of Congo (lots of gold, uranium and other needed War materials) remained the haven for the Belgians in exile. Here are Printer’s Proof stamps with and without the interior design & punch cancelled (to prevent re-use or forgery). Many items that were, previous to the German invasion, made in Europe, now needed a new source.
