In Morocco, the Idrisid dynasties made up a significant enough group to ensure an identifiable & separate Emirate (Sharif or Cherif). They mostly inhabited northern Morocco; Chefchaouen, Fez, Figuig, Meknes, Moulay Idriss, Oujda, Rabat, Sale, Tangiers, Taza, Tetouan, Wazzane etc. Whereas in the South they were primarily Sa’adian & Alawites.
Featured is are the small (each less than 1″ square) ticket money issued at the time of Liberation for France & Morocco. There are 3 denominations available: 50 Centimes, 1 Franc & 2 Francs
