REICHSKREDITKASSENSCHEINE (RKKS) for SOLDIER USE in GERMAN OCCUPIED AREAS of WWII

The Reichskreditkassenscheine (Reichs = Reich / kredit = Credit / kassen = Offices / scheine = Banknote) were special notes created to pay the German soldiers in the conquered territories, as the use of homeland money was forbidden outside of Germany. This was a sure way to reign in the national banks so as to tow the German line. Basically the conquered banking authorities had to take in this German created paper in exchange for hard currency and assets. The RKKS were given to the German banking system for no actual payment and the notes would be recirculated to the soldiers. This system proved enormously successful in Poland and other German Occupied territories.
