RHODE ISLAND 1780 UNCUT SHEET of 8 WATERMARKED CONFEDERATION

This spectacular uncut sheet of 8 ( Values; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 & 20 Dollars ) is signed by 2 heroes; Adam Comstock in black ink ( Lieutenant Colonel 1st Rhode Island Volunteer Infantry, called by the Continental Congress in 1776 ) and Caleb Harris in red ink ( Surveyor of the Revolution ) with no guaranty signer. Pieces out on both the 1 & 2 Dollars, but the rest is near perfect – the other three margins are full all around. Evidence of the blue threads used as security are noted thru-out the sheet. The mix of red & black on the reverse sort of cleverly mirrors the signatures on the front. This issue was authorized by the Continental Congress in 1780, but they did not get it out until January of 1781. The word CONFEDERATION ( broken into two lines ) appears boldly watermarked on each value.

Guaranteed Genuine.
