From the collection of a woman who served several tours in Afghanistan and the region comes this wonderful array of fancy coin necklaces of the nomadic tribes ( mostly Kuchi ).
The coins are all base metal and from a variety of Middle Eastern countries ( not Israel ) – they were chosen by the makers for their flashiness, not their value. They were bought all over Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. Offered are basically two types long ( for body adornment ) & short ( for neck or head ).
